- How do I make a printer-friendly version of a web page?
- Paste the page address into the box on our home page and press Go. You will get a clean version you can print, save as a PDF, or email. Our browser extensions do the same thing in one click, without having to copy the address.
- Which files can I convert to PDF, and back again?
- Word (DOC and DOCX), Excel (XLS and XLSX), PowerPoint (PPT and PPTX), and images such as JPG and PNG. You can also go the other way and turn a PDF into Word, Excel, PowerPoint or images, as well as merge, split and compress PDFs.
- Do the PDF tools cost anything?
- No. Converting, merging, splitting and compressing files on printfriendly.com is free. Our paid plan covers the Print Button on your own website, which is a separate product.
- Are my files private? Do you keep them?
- Files are uploaded over an encrypted connection, and they are deleted automatically within 48 hours. We do not review what you upload. Our privacy policy is the full statement.
- Why is my conversion taking so long?
- Large files and slow connections are the usual reasons, and very large documents take longer than the page suggests. If it stalls on a small file, or fails more than once, send us the file name and roughly how big it is.
- How do I close my account?
- You can do it yourself. Sign in, open your settings, and choose Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm with your password, unless you signed in with Google or Apple. Closing your account cancels any active subscription at the same time, so there is no need to cancel first.
